Every account starts as a Keyholder and earns a point for each euro spent. Above it sit three tiers, each one earned by driving with us rather than paid for — and each one worth materially more than the last.
100 points = €1 against any rental. Points never expire while your account is active, and status is earned on what you spend — never bought.

Nothing in the small print.
One rate, comprehensive insurance and 200 km a day included on every car. Everything you might add is listed below with its price. The only sum beyond the rate is a refundable security deposit of 0.5% of the vehicle's value, released in full on return. No counter fees, no surprises.

Driver requirements
I.
Twenty-two and over
Every driver, named or additional, must be at least 22 years old on the day of collection. We verify age at handover and cannot make exceptions — the insurance does not permit it.
II.
Two years' licence
A full licence held for at least two years, in the driver's own name. EU, UK and international permits are all accepted.
III.
Identification at handover
Passport or national ID alongside the licence. Nothing is retained — we check it, note it, and hand it back.
Bookings placed by anyone under 22 cannot be fulfilled and are refunded in full. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, the age requirement applies to whoever will be driving.

Comprehensive cover is included on every rental. If you would rather not carry the standard excess, three upgrades are available at handover — each one cutting it further. Both the excess and the daily price scale with the value of the car.

The deposit
Held, never taken.
A refundable security deposit of 0.5% of the vehicle's value is pre-authorised on your card at handover — not at booking, and not online. It is a hold, not a charge: the money never leaves your account, and the authorisation is released in full the moment the car is back with us, normally within three working days.

The deposit is separate from the insurance excess and is released regardless of it. If there is damage, the excess is settled first and the deposit is released once the assessment closes. Zero-excess cover removes the excess entirely, but the deposit still applies — it also covers fuel, tolls and traffic penalties.

Delivery and collection are free island-wide on rentals over €1,500. Below that, a flat fee applies by zone — charged once, covering both the drop-off and the collection.
Handovers between 22:00 and 07:00 carry an out-of-hours fee of €90. Delivery to a location outside these zones is arranged on request.

Cancellation & changes
Cancel more than 72 hours before collection and you are refunded in full, with no fee of any kind. Between 72 and 24 hours, one day's rental is retained. Inside 24 hours, or if nobody is there to meet the car, 50% of the booking is retained.
Dates and vehicles can be changed free of charge more than 72 hours ahead, subject to availability. If we cannot supply the car you reserved, you are offered an equivalent or better vehicle at the original price, or a full refund — your choice, never ours.
Bookings placed by anyone under 22 cannot be fulfilled and are refunded in full, including any extras.
Payment & deposits
Nothing is charged when you request a reservation. Payment is taken at handover, alongside a refundable security deposit of 0.5% of the vehicle's value — €90 on the MX-5, €17,500 on the Valkyrie. It is a pre-authorisation, not a charge: the amount is held against your card and released in full when the car is returned as it left, normally within three working days. The insurance excess is separate, applies only in the event of damage, and can be reduced or removed entirely from the Rates page.
Fuel, mileage & tolls
Cars are delivered with a full tank. Return it at any level and we settle the difference at pump price with no service charge. Every rental includes 200 km per day; beyond that, distance is billed at €2.50 per kilometre unless you have added a mileage package.
Where the cars may go
Anywhere in the Republic of Cyprus. Travel beyond the buffer zone requires the northern crossing cover listed on the Rates page, arranged before collection. Vehicles may not be taken off sealed roads, onto beaches, or on any track or competitive event.
Your data
We collect only what a rental requires: your name, contact details, date of birth, driving licence and identification. Licence and ID are checked at handover and recorded as a reference number — we do not photograph or retain copies.
Your data is held for seven years to satisfy Cypriot tax and insurance obligations, then deleted. It is never sold, and it is shared only with our insurer, and with the authorities where the law compels it.
Under the GDPR you may ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. Write to privacy@noirauto.cy and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. One essential cookie remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again. If you accept analytics, we record anonymous page views to understand which cars draw interest — no profiles, no third-party advertising, and you can change your mind whenever you like.
Liability
The driver is responsible for traffic fines and parking penalties incurred during the rental, forwarded at cost with no administration fee. We are not liable for belongings left in a vehicle, though we will always try to reunite you with them.
Design System
How the brand behaves.
Noir Auto is built from four decisions: one mark, two typefaces, a single light source, and a discipline about when to use green. Everything on this site is derived from them. This page is the reference.
01 · The mark
Three Ns, nested.
A single N, repeated at 100%, 70% and 44% about a common centre. It reads as depth, as a road narrowing to a horizon, and as three cars in convoy — which is the entire brand in one glyph. Strokes are square-capped and mitred; there is not one curve in it.
Primary mark
Emerald gradient, on near-black. The default everywhere.
Single stroke
Below 28 px the nesting closes up. Drop to one N — favicons, app icons, embroidery.
Clear space
Keep a margin equal to the width of the outer stroke on all four sides. Nothing enters it.
The 50° diagonal
The N's diagonal runs 64:76 — fifty degrees off the horizontal. Every eyebrow rule, hatch and divider on this site uses that angle and no other.
02 · Colour
Bone, black, and restraint.
Five near-blacks give surfaces somewhere to sit. Six emeralds give the accent somewhere to go. The rule that matters is the last one: one mint moment per viewport. When the accent is everywhere it stops being an accent.
Every pairing on this site is measured against WCAG AA. Body copy on the base surface runs 16.2:1; the quietest caption runs 4.99:1 against a 4.5 requirement. Nothing ships below it.
03 · Type
Two voices, no more.
Instrument Serif carries every headline — a high-contrast Didone with real italics, self-hosted as WOFF2 so a Windows machine sees exactly what a Mac does. Inter Tight carries everything else. The gap between them is the point: 168 px against 10 px is a ratio of nearly 17:1.

04 · Motion
Three curves, four speeds.
Motion is a material, not a decoration. Everything decelerates — nothing on this site accelerates away from the reader. Hover the swatches to feel each curve.
Every animation is suppressed under prefers-reduced-motion, including the hero video, the custom cursor and the loading sequence. Reduced motion is not a degraded experience; it is a complete one with the movement removed.

Write like the concierge speaks.

"A refundable deposit of 0.5% — €90 on the MX-5." Specificity is the whole luxury signal. Vagueness reads as something to hide.

"Competitive rates"
Empty comparatives, superlatives without evidence, and the word premium. If it could appear on any rental site, it does not belong on this one.

Or emoji, or shouting caps outside a label. Confidence is quiet. The one place enthusiasm is allowed is a car's own description.

Four roads worth the detour.
The island is 240 km end to end, which means you can drive the best of it in a long weekend and still be back for dinner. These are the four our own drivers take on their days off — written by people who have done each of them at dawn, in summer, in a car that mattered.
Before you set off
Six things worth knowing.
Drive on the left.
A British inheritance, and the single thing visitors most often forget in the first roundabout. Every car in the collection is right-hand drive except where noted, which helps more than you would think.
Fuel late, not early.
Stations thin out badly above 800 m and in the Akamas. Fill in Limassol or Polis rather than trusting the map — and note that many rural pumps are card-only after 21:00.
Summer tarmac moves.
Above 38 °C the surface on the older mountain roads goes soft by mid-afternoon. Drive the passes before 10:00 or after 18:00; the light is better then anyway.
Goats have right of way.
Not legally, but in practice. Herds cross the Troodos and Akamas roads without warning, most often on blind left-handers. Assume something is around every one of them.
The buffer zone is real.
Crossings are straightforward at Ledra Palace and Agios Dometios, but our insurance stops at the line unless you have added northern crossing cover before collection. Tell us and it takes a minute.
Speed cameras are fixed and photographed.
50 in towns, 80 on open roads, 100 on the motorway. Fines are forwarded at cost with no administration fee, but they will find you — usually about six weeks after you have gone home.
